Microsoft released the entry-level Lumia 535, its first device with no Nokia branding on it.

The 5-inch display handset features a 5 MP front camera and a US$136 price tag exclusive of taxes. The Lumia 535 has higher specifications after the release of the Lumia 530 with a price tag of US$99 early in 2014.

Microsoft replaced its traditional Nokia branding on the device's face with its own brand and added its marking on the back plate.

The Lumia 535 also takes the company's design identity from low-end, round-edged devices such as the Lumia 635 and Lumia 530.

The Microsoft Lumia 535 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset with a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz. It has a 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB through its microSD card support. It comes with 15 GB of free OneDrive storage for documents and photos.

The Microsoft Lumia 535 features a 5-inch IPS display with QHD 960 x 540 pixels screen resolution. The display is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with sunlight readability.

The smartphone weighs 146 grams with a dimension of 140.2 x 72.4 x 8.8 mm. It sports a 1905 mAh battery capacity and runs Windows Phone 8.1 with the newest Lumia Denim update. It has Microsoft services support such as Skype and OneNote.

The handset comes in two versions: the 3G Smart Dual SIM and 3G Single SIM versions. Both versions are available in bright green, cyan, white, bright orange, black and dark gray.
