Elevator Video Records Fight Between Jay-Z and Beyonce’s Sister Solange

A tension might be brewing between two of Beyonce's favorite people in the world.

Gossip website TMZ posted a three-minute video of a violent fracas between a man and a woman who were presumed to be Beyonce's rapper husband Jay-Z and her sister Solange Knowles while inside one of Standard Hotel's elevators.

The "Crazy in Love" singer and a bodyguard were also seen in the video that was reportedly recorded after the group attended an after-party for the Met Gala event a week ago.

In the video, the woman, said to be Solange, was clearly seen shouting and physically attacking her brother-in-law, while the bodyguard tried to restrain her.

Despite being stopped, the younger Knowles managed to let her feet and fist fly toward Hov, while Bey remained calm and stayed standing on the sidelines throughout the incident.

The bodyguard was also seen pressing the emergency button to keep the door from opening and keep what was happening inside private.

Despite receiving kicks and punches from Solange, the rapper/producer did not return the attacks.

TMZ also posted another video showing Beyonce and Solange leaving the hotel using the same car, while Jay-Z rode a different SUV.

The reason for the altercation is still unclear as of the moment, but a source close to the family told HollywoodLife.com that Jay-Z is furious about the supposedly private video going viral. It was also reported that he is seriously consulting with his legal team to go after those who are responsible for making the CCTV video public.

Also, Jay-Z was reportedly worried that the incident will put a strain on the public's perception about his family. He hoped that whatever fight happened between him and his sister-in-law would be kept out of the public's eye, but the leak of the video made it impossible.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported that the Standard Hotel will make its own investigation to find out who leaked the security video to the press, and vowed to castigate those who are involved.
