Frozen’s Queen Elsa Joins ‘Once Upon A Time’

(Photo : tvguide.com) Will Elsa sing "Let It Go" in the hit TV series?

Once Upon A Time fans were treated with a chilling surprise at the end of season three, as Elsa, the Snow Queen from Arendalle was spotted in Storybrooke at the end of the special two-hour episode last Sunday.

During the final seconds of the season three finale, a gleaming icy silhouette emerged from the time portal used by OUAT heroine Emma (played by Jennifer Morrison) and Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) to return to the fictional town of Storybrooke after their adventures from the Enchanted Forest.

Though the Snow Queen remained faceless in the episode, viewers still recognize the world-famous Disney character from her signature braided blonde hair and sparkly turquoise gown.

Icicles where created all over the place as Elsa stretched out her arms, and the ground that she walked on became frozen, just like how she was depicted in the Oscar Award-winning movie that took the world by storm in 2013.

Avid fans of the hit TV show know very well that Elsa's appearance will only raise more questions instead of shedding some light about the future of the show.

Will the Snow Queen become a friend of Storybrooke's resident characters, or will she be a cold-hearted villain?

The show was known to turn literary heroes into the bad guys, just like what they did to Peter Pan and Snow White. That is why there is a huge possibility that Queen Elsa of Arendelle will also be portrayed as an antagonist in the upcoming Season 4.

When the series creators, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, were asked about Elsa's future in Storybrooke, they just said that they have no liberty to reveal what is in store for her just yet. But they shared that the famous Frozen character will not be the only one from Arendelle who will be featured in the coming episodes of Season 4, prompting speculations that Elsa's sister Anna will also be seen in Storybrooke soon.

Also, the creators divulged that the casting for the role of Elsa, and possibly for Anna, still has not started yet.
