The San Antonio Spurs rout Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers once again, reliving the National Basketball Associations (NBA) previous championship game (92-90).

For most of the game, the deficit between scores was close, with both teams vying for the lead. It all came down to the wire.

Late in the fourth though, the Cavaliers were left with no more timeouts. This gave James no choice but to speed up the play on the floor.

Speeding down the floor with the dying seconds of the quarter ticking away, James tried to dribble behind his back as he attacked the ring. But the ball bounced away, and so did the win for the Cavaliers.

"I went behind my back and just lost it," James said of his last turnover. "That's how the ball rolls sometimes."

This is the 10th straight time that the defending champions beat the Cavaliers.

The win of the Spurs was fuelled by the performances of Tim Duncan and Boris Diaw, who scored 19 points each.

Manu Ginobili scored the layup with 18 seconds left and also made a free throw 9.1 seconds to go in the fourth. He then shifted his efforts to defense and harassed James, forcing his costly turnover with 1.9 seconds remaining.

The Cavaliers' players were contributing from everywhere.

Anderson Varejao led the Cavaliers with 23 points, while Kyrie Irving added 20 of his own, and James with 15.

James was only 6 out of 17 from the floor, while Kevin Love went 4 of 12. The Cavaliers bench only contributed 17 points.

With this loss, the Cavaliers fall to a 5-5 record.

While the team is not operating the way most people expected, James commented that he felt his team improved from this game.

"This is a game I'm happy about," James said. "I hate to lose, but I'm happy about the progress we made tonight."
