"She was horrified to sing, she cried a little bit in the morning before she had to sing. But she did it and she did it all day - and she hated me for making her do it all day - but she did and it's great," the director disclosed.

The haunting song is part of an emotional scene in the movie franchise where Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer, sings the 'Hanging Tree' which she learned from her father. It is the sign of the rebellion lead by the team of Katniss against the powerful administration of the Capitol.

In Jennifer's guesting on the November 12 episode of 'The Late Show with David Letterman', she said that she was indeed horrified on the day of the recording and downplays her singing capability.

"I do not like singing in front of other people. It's like my biggest fear. I cried on set that day", she said.

Netizens, however, were pleased by the 'talk-singing' of the actress on the three-minute song.  According to their posts, 'it gives them chill' especially when hearing the lyrics of the song.

The third movie installment premiered last Thursday earned $17 million on its opening which is the biggest of 2014, but still lower than its two previous movies. According to Lionsgate, the second part of Mockingjay may possibly be released on November 20, 2015.

The sought-after star will again be paired with frequent co-star Bradley Cooper for the Depression era drama, Serena which is set to be released on February 26.
