Roger Moore of the Tribune News Service (TNS) reports that the latest installment of The Hunger Games trilogy, Mockingjay Part 1, is "dark and hazy, relentlessly glum and dull."

He further adds that MJ1 is the first among all series' installment to fail to deliver in terms of many aspects - mood, characterization, emotion, and set-up.

It was also mentioned in Moore's report that the movie is not able to set its own independence. If viewers haven't seen its prequels, picking up on the plot may prove to be a challenge.

"Good luck remembering who everybody who shows up onscreen is," remarks the veteran movie critic.

People who know the book well, said Moore, will surely realize that the juiciest parts of the movie are saved for Part 2. It can be recalled that MJ1 has been compared with the last movie installment of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows by which the film has also been divided into 2 parts.

Moore clarifies, however, that the film is a beauty in its own right, too. The movie's approach and tone were interesting refreshment from its predecessors. The humor was also said to be blatant and straightforward, and so was the tragedy.

The film narrates a troubled Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) caused by her trauma from losing Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) on her side and by the excessive bloodshed that transpired during the previous 'game.'

The next scenes mainly revolve a word war between Katnniss and Peeta following plots that were intricately drafter by bigger players in the political world of Panem.

Moore reiterates that it is not a totally bad movie He finishes with a note that Mocking Jay Part 1 Director, Francis Lawrencecould have done better with a livelier and well-lit scenes, allowing the audience to feel the movie rather than hear it.
