A neuropathologist will be conducting tests on the brain of recently deceased Ohio State University (OSU) player Kosta Karageorge, whose dead body was recently found in a dumpster two days ago. They seek evidence of any traumatic injury within the brain.

Karageorge's mother said that he had several concussions and that he was going through several spells of confusion.

She said that his concussions were confirmed when he sent a text message around one in the morning on Wednesday saying, "I am sorry if I am an embarrassment."

Sister to the recently deceased football player told The Columbus Dispatch that he was apparently upset and that roommates said he went for a walk dressed in all black--from his hat to his boots.

In a phone interview with the New York Times, she said that her brother had four or five concussions, with the most recent one in September.

"He had a pretty bad concussion last fall and he told me about differences in his behavior," the newspaper quoted her as saying. "Just, like, confusion, disorientation, being unable to focus, mood swings -- not feeling like himself, basically, not feeling quite right."

Through several tests, the neuropathologist will see whether brain trauma did have any part on the death of Karageorge.

Anahi Ortiz, coroner to the Franklin County, said that the examination is not part of the normal process, but it is being performed on the college football player because of the fact that his family has had a history with concussions.

Ortiz went on to say that preliminary results confirmed that Karageorge died of a gunshot wound at only 22 years of age. However, she has not yet ruled out the possibility of suicide.
