Protesters interrupted the speech of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder during an assembly at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church Monday, December 1.

One week has already passed after the grand jury decided not to charge Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of unarmed 18 year old Michael Brown.

But protesters have not forgotten the gruesome episode. Protest after protest proliferates not only across the United States but also in some other parts of the world, and tension still continues to rise.

The interruption that occurred during the speech of Holder was a manifestation of this tension. The country's attorney general was not taken aback, however. He remained calm and was lauded for how he addressed the situation.

"What we saw there was a genuine expression of concern and involvement,' Holder began, "and it is through that level of involvement, that level of concern, and I hope a level of perseverance and commitment, that change will ultimately come."

He further added, "So let me be clear, let me be clear, I ain't mad atcha, all right?"

A standing ovation was granted to Holder by the majority of the crowd. The demonstrators, on the other hand, were ushered to exit the church and finally settled with doing the protest outside. They shouted and chanted the words "No justice, no peace. We have nothing to lose but our chains," while pumping their fists into the air.

Holder was in the state of Georgia to initiate a series of talks that tackle the sense of responsibility and vigilance among people, following the Brown-Wilson incident that shocked the nation August of this year. His next stop, however, has not yet been disclosed.
