George Lucas Hasn’t Seen The New ‘Star Wars’ Trailer

While the whole world is staying tuned at the release of Star Wars' teaser, its creator actually has no idea what's going on!

In an interview with New York Post's Page Six, the movie mogul admitted that he was not able to watch the film teaser of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, making him, perhaps, the only person in the planet to have not seen the teaser of the most successful film franchise in history.

"I don't know anything about it. I haven't seen it yet," he said when asked during the interview

Perhaps, Lucas' reaction must have stung director J.J. Abrams.

Another strike on J.J. Abrams' face is the fact that the producer has no plans of watching the new movie when it is released December 18, 2015.

When asked if is he curious about the details of the filming and the plot, he said "Not really."

Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney for US$4.05 billion in 2012.

Lucasfilm is the production company behind the successful Star Wars film series.

Lucasfilm also owned the rights to the Indiana Jones franchise, Industrial Light and Magic, and SkyWalker Sound.

But why did Lucas sell Lucasfilm? A video released by Starwards.com in 2012 best explains his reason. In it, he said:

"I felt that I really wanted to put the company somewhere in a larger entity which could protect it. Disney is a huge corporation.

He also explained that Disney has all the "kinds of capabilities and facilities," which would definitely benefit Lucasfilms.

...I'm doing this so that the films will have a longer life, and so that more fans and people can enjoy them in the future. It's a very big universe I've created and there are a lot of stories that are sitting in there."
