(Photo : Reuters Pictures ) Director, Ridley Scott and actor, Christian Bale sat down with Entertainment Weekly at the SiriusXM Town Hall to discuss about their current movie "Exodus: Gods and Kings" and their future projects.

"Exodus: Gods and Kings" star Christian Bale suggested that Moses could be considered a terrorist in this day and age.

Bale shared that if one wasn't religious, he could look at the Biblical icon as a freedom fighter or a terrorist.

"You look at empire and the attitudes of empire, and perhaps the necessity that for empires to exist... they (must) have actually a hierarchy among people, whether that's spoken or unspoken. It's fascinating," the actor added.

Bale, most famed for his role as Batman shared that he was rather surprised that Moses was such a flawed human being. He said that through the flick, he realized that Moses is more human and fallible than what he once thought.

The actor said that he loved the fact that Moses had such strong conviction, but was also capable of "debilitating self-doubt".

The actor also commented that he found Moses to be a complicated man, and that he had used Monty Python's "The Life of Brian" and Mel Brooks' "History of the World, Part One" as inspiration for his role because he didn't want the character to appear haughty.

As a matter of fact, he constantly had the Monty Python song "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" on his mind while he was on the set.

Other members of the cast include Joel Edgerton, Sigourney Weaver and John Turturro.

The Ridley Scott epic will open in theaters on Friday.

While some have criticized Scott for casting white performers as Egyptians, the director has chosen to ignore the comments, stating that these critics simply need to "get a life".

Meanwhile, Fox media mogul Rupert Murdoch took to Twitter to respond to all the racial negativity, posting, "Moses film attacked on Twitter for all white cast. Since when are Egyptians not white? All I know are."
