It's either soooo romantic or Quentin Tarantino must really have a serious case of tongue tied-ness.

Whatever, but Quentin and the woman he has waited for, for 20 long years --Uma Thurman-- are finally a couple. She's single again and he's been waiting for that to happen.

The world found out about it at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival where they were seen together and even shared a villa on the outskirts of town. Both were presenters at the closing ceremony of the world's most popular film fest on May 24.

Uma, 44, also walked arm-in-arm on the red carpet with the Oscar-winning director, who is 51.

One knowing source told media that Quentin has loved Uma for years. Another source said that both had always been attracted to each other.

But between their first meeting on Tarantino's Pulp Fiction released in 1994 until Uma's divorce last month was 20 years of distance in which Uma married, had three kids and divorced twice.

Uma married the dashing Ethan Hawke in 1996. That six-year marriage produced two children before ending in divorce in 2004. Three years later, Uma married hedge-fund magnate Arpad Busson, with whom she has a daughter.

An interview Uma gave in 2004 gave a tantalizing hint of her real feelings for Tarantino.

"I think we're really different people actually, but that's what's fun about talking to each other. We have very different perspectives," she explained.

"He's a very extroverted, public person. I'm a very introverted person. We're just very different characters, but somehow or other..." she said, failing to finish the sentence.

She seems satisfied with her new relationship with Tarantino. Another source said they talk often, go out to lunch in New York City when he's around.

"He always tries to find a role for her, or have her involved somehow."
