FX just announced that Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons will be the new lead actors for the show "Fargo."

Dunst and Plemons are set to star in the second season of Fargo. Dunst will play the role of Peggy Blomquist, the beautician who has big-city dreams. Her character is trying to know who she really is and what she really wants in life. Dunst's character also experiences struggles with societal expectations. As for Plemons, he will play the role of Peggy's husband, Ed, who is a butcher's assistant, and who wants to be a supportive husband to his wife even though he does not quite understand what she really needs and wants.

The second season of "Fargo" is all about revisiting the 1979 Sioux Falls incident which is based on the season 1 episode "A Fox, Rabbit, and a Cabbage", this is when Lou Solverson, Keith Carradine's character, was still a state trooper. According to Noah Hawley, the second season will take place in Fargo, North Dakota, Sioux, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota and aside from Dunst and Plemons there will be a new actor in the show to play the role of young Lou Solverson.

Joel Coen, Ethan Coen, John Cameron and WarrenLittlefield will be the executive producers of "Fargo Season 2" plus the additional cast will be announced soon.

"Fargo" will serve as Dunst first TV series, although she appeared in numerous TV movies and different series episodes. She is popular for her role in the movie "Interview with the Vampire", "Spider-Man and "Bring It On".

As for Plemons, working on a TV series was not new to him. He starred as Todd in the TV series "Breaking Bad". He also did numerous TV movie and series episodes. Plemons was also included in the movie "Battleship" as a Boatswain Mate Seaman Jimmy 'Ordy' Ord.
