"Guardians of the Galaxy" actress Zoe Saldana and her husband, Italian artist Marco Perego, just welcomed twin boys. The twins are the couple's first children.

Saldana and Perego tied the knot in a secret ceremony last year.

Rumors that the actress was carrying twins swirled around last July, but the "Avatar" star only confirmed the story last October when she was asked what she was going to dress up as for Halloween.

"I might. I might need three costumes. I might have to make some adjustments, but it would be nice," she answered, while rubbing her growing belly.

While pregnant, the actress admitted that she was just "hungry all the time", but that despite getting bigger, she felt that it was important that she still looked sexy.

Appearing on Craig's Ferguson's late night talk show, the actress shared, "People think that they're not supposed to compliment pregnant women. The best thing a pregnant women can hear is the word 'sexy.' It's like, 'Oh, you think I'm sexy? Yes! I'm sexy.'"

And one such person who made sure that the star looked her best before and during her pregnancy is designer Prabal Gurung, who took to Instagram to post a stunning photo of the actress with the caption, "Congratulations to my dearest darling friend and my muse @zoesaldana (and her husband ) on the arrival of their twins."

The couple will have their hands full with the new twin boys, but the actress is actually hoping to add more to their brood.

In a previous interview, the 36-year old star admitted that she would love to have a big family, adding "They're just so delicious. I love the anxiety, the pressure of the loud room full of yapping kids."

Saldana confessed that she's a big kid herself, and that kids and animals just gravitate towards her and her to them. She even said that most of the time, she understands children more than she understands adults.
