Prince Albert was very happy delivering the message on his video, saying the pleasure is his to announce the birth of their twins namely Jacques Honore Rainier who will soon be the crown prince and their daughter Gabriella Therese Marie, the second in the line of succession.

The future crown prince and his sister were welcomed with red and white flags and cannon shots were heard along with boat horns in celebration of the twins' arrival. The House of Grimaldi is about 700 years old now and it couldn't be more joyous with this addition to their family.

Princess Gabriella was born at exactly 5:04 PM while her brother came out just a couple of minutes after her. The twins will make their first public appearance on January 7, 2015 via the palace balcony, which is also their public holiday.

The first two people who arrived at the palace to sign the book of congratulations to the royal family are 76-year-old Claude Gauthie, and his wife Josette who is 73 years old.

And since it is now the modern age, the royal family also decided to put up a special email address where everyone can send their congratulations to the coming of their newborn twins. And instead of receiving gifts from the public, the family just asked for donations and have them sent to the charities that they want.
