Miami Heat Crushes Indiana Pacers to Advance to 4th Straight NBA Finals

The Miami Heat has won over the Indiana Pacers in the Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals to proceed to their fourth consecutive NBA Finals stint.

The Heat has become the first team to achieve that record since the Boston Celtics' winning streak from 1984 to 1987. The Miami team victoriously ended the postseason play with a 117-92 score, according to Hot Hot Hoops.

During the pre-finals game, Lance Stephenson had stolen the spotlight with his repeated efforts to irritate and distract LeBron James. His efforts, however, quickly went to waste as the middle of the second quarter began to favor the Heat.

James and Chris Bosh both led the Heat, scoring 25 points, plus Dwayne Wade putting in additional 13 points. In this game, Miami's greatest lead had almost reached 40 points.

For this season, the Pacers have been denied a chance to host a 7th game in the Eastern Conference with Miami's Game 6 victory. Word spread that head coach Frank Vogel is considering changing the roster to see if they could outpace Miami in the next season, with the latest being Indiana's third consecutive year of being eliminated by the Heat.

Aside from Miami, only the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics are the only NBA franchises to appear in at least four straight NBA Finals seasons. The Heat is now aiming to become the sole fourth franchise in the history of NBA to grab three consecutive championships.

Eastern Conference's Game 6 saw LeBron James sticking to his promise of exceeding his Game 5 performance of 11 points. Chris Bosh, on the other hand, contributed around 20 points for the third consecutive game.

For the past two games, Rashard Lewis has been one of the top offensive contributor, while Chris "Birdman" Andersen showed a powerful comeback after being absent from two games because of an injury. The Birdman put in 9 points and 10 rebounds within just 13 minutes of play.

The Heat is now waiting for the champion of the Western Conference Finals to see if they will face either the San Antonio Spurs or the Oklahoma City Thunder in the final battle. Miami will begin Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 5.
