A new batch of leaked emails obtained by Gawker details the email exchange of Scott Rudin, Sony exec Amy Pascal, and Angelina Jolie about the upcoming project, Cleopatra.

The Oscar-winning actress revealed that she might retire from acting if Cleopatra proves critically and financially satisfying enough.

In an email that leaked earlier, Rudin labeled her a "spoiled brat" after Rudin allegedly said that she asked David Fincher to direct the epic film, thus, causing the latter to back out from the Steve Jobs biopic.

As Jolie was wooing Fincher to work on the film and after screenwriter Eric Roth finished the first draft of the film's script, Pascal sent her an email dated November 2013, telling her: "You are a treasure/I love you Tons."

Rudin then emailed Jolie asking her is she could be available to start the film's production at the start of Jan. 5, 2014.

Jolie sent Pascal an email early January. This was what she sent:

"I think we have to clean up the script and then enhance. I have crossed out many things and made adjustments. I would like to strip the things that lead it off track first. We need to be clear and efficient in order to get this done in a decent time. I started to re read the book and I am talking to philosophy teachers ect [sic]"

While Pascal and Rudin were planning to set up the schedules, Rudin emailed Pascal with reference to Jolie: "She knows it's off. Calm down. She's an actress for hire, not Cleopatra."

Roth came with a new draft of the script in February. Pascal then sent Rudin an email: "She will like it CUZ there is barely any vulnerability left in her character and she now seems responsible for everything that ever happened."

Rudin's emails the following March discussed about the Jobs movie, which was supposed to be directed by Fincher. She suggested that Jolie might be happy to have Martin Scorsese as the Cleopatra director.

A March 12 email saw Jolie praise the project, calling it a "very exciting" prospect.

"Let me know if there is anything I should be doing. Like getting on a plane and begging Marty xxx," she wrote in the email.

The email conversations continued to go well. Jolie even agreed to get a "shaved head" to make sure that she could represent the Serpent of the Nile in the most historically accurate manner.

However, came May, Scorsese was found to be not available, while the services of Fincher has not yet been secured.  Another possible director that Jolie had her eyes on, Tomas Alfredson, was also unavailable. Rudin suggested Ridley Scott might be a good one. Jolie, however, wanted to do a little background check about Scott first.

Rudin then emailed Pascal, telling him of his disbelief: "Beyond belief. She's studying films. Kill me please. Immediately."

In July, Pascal and Rudin discussed the possibility of totally abandoning the Roth script and rather make, instead, another movie version of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra. However, when Jolie joined in the conversation, Jolie explained that Roth had already done a great job to totally ignore him.

"I think making it a love story could undermine the female leadership and epic that we have built...I think we need a good script editor to work with Eric. He's open or will do with me. He knows we need to make it shorter to not be as intimidating. And I think we continue to discuss with great directors. My point is that we have done something special and I don't think we should adjust course but streamline and clarify and hold strong. But of course, I'm open to all discussions," she explained.

However, Rudin remarked in an email to Pascal that Jolie was "seriously out of her mind."

Pascal, meanwhile, emailed the two, telling them: "I think we need an in person long conversation the three of us."

Rudin then replied only to Pascal, telling her: "Nooooooo noooooo noooooo please! Not a meeting!"
