Angelina Jolie Meets Pope Francis On Her Visit To The Vatican

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie met with Pope Francis on January 8 at The Vatican where she also hosted the special screening of her new film Unbroken.

According to Universal Pictures Italia, the Pope, who is very familiar with the amazing biography of Louis Zamperini, has opened the Casina Pio IV, the headquarters of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences for the special viewing of Jolie's movie Unbroken.

The actress felt so honored at the invitation made by the head of the Catholic Church, especially when it was regarding the project that she is working which features the life of Zamperini, who showed what it is to be really strong and how it is to genuinely forgive the people who have done you wrong.

Jolie said that she loves the character of Zamperini so much and was even in awe of his courage and heart. He believed in the message that he was trying to convey the world and its significance to right now. She was overwhelmed by the project that she felt the need to make the movie right so she didn't mind working all night long on it. Her passion towards the project has then reached The Vatican and the Pope himself.

Brad Pitt's wife came along with Luke, who is Zamperini's son. She was also with her two kids Zahara and Shiloh coming to Rome. The mother of 6 was seen with her 2 daughters spending their time at a local toy store in Pizza Navona according to Us Weekly.

Her husband was also said to be invited at the Vatican but there was a last minute change in his schedule so he wasn't able to make it.
