For fans of the royal family, here's an interesting bit of trivia to start the New Year. Kensington Palace has just released a list of official gifts that Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Prince Harry has received while jetsetting across the world.

Unsurprisingly, young Prince George received hundreds of presents collected throughout the year, particularly  toys, clothes, books and furniture, even a boat, during his jaunts to New Zealand and Australia. In fact, the mayor of Australia apparently gave the youngest member of the royal family a surfboard, a skateboard, a rocking horse and cricket gear. Meanwhile, parents William and Kate went home with numerous clothing items, pastries (cupcakes, specifically) and whiskey.

President Barack Obama and First Lady, Michelle Obama also gifted Georgie with a plush toy for Christmas along with a basket of honey for the Duchess of Cambridge and a couple of books for the prince.

From the couple's shared alma matter, University of St. Andrews, George received a miniature version of the academic gown and books. And of course, American basketball royalty, LeBron James, gifted him with a personalized Cavs jersey, among other notable presents such as gingerbread, condiments, chocolate coins, dreidels and holiday décor.

But what about Prince Harry? Apparently, from his recent trip to Oman, the prince received an automatic rifle; and from his Abu Dhabi excursion, a wristwatch. He also received a racing helmet from Brazil and a special forces knife when he arrived in Chile.

With all these precious gifts and knickknacks being handed to the royals, fans can't help but wonder what they intend to do with it all. They can, of course, keep them for personal use, but according to the palace website, "Under no circumstances should official gifts be sold or exchanged...Presents received overseas can, however be displayed in royal residences, become part of the royal collection or be placed on temporary or permanent loan with a reputable organization."
