Prince Andrew, Duke of York and second son of Queen Elizabeth II, who is in hot waters over allegations of sexually abusing a teenager, plans to make his first public statement on the issue.

The duke was dragged in the legal papers filed by Virginia Roberts against Jeffrey Epstein, a close acquaintance of his who has been convicted for child sex offense.

Roberts claimed the duke forced her to have sex with him, not only once but three times.

Buckingham Palace has denied the claims.

The Duke is now planning to hold a press conference to address the issue at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday.

He has already enlisted the help of one of London's top defense lawyers, William Clegg, hailed as the "Grandfather of the Bar" for help.

It is believed that he would immediately discuss the scandal, although he should be careful with his choice of words as he attempts to acknowledge the claims in the vaguest manner, while also making it sound like he is staunchly denying the claims.

Royal watchers also believe that whatever statement he makes would sum up to the duke's determination to move on from the scandal.

In the court details, Roberts revealed that Epstein gave her £10,000 as a "reward" for going to bed with the Duke in 2001. Roberts also revealed that she gave him an "erotic massage" in New York, which ended in the two of them having sex.

The magnitude of Robert's allegation forced the Queen's son to set precedence and issue a formal statement denying Roberts' claims.

Prince Andrew is slated to talk in Davos as an ambassador of the Pitch@Palace, a business scheme aimed at budding entrepreneurs.
