Because of ESRB's rating, "Final Fantasy Type-0" is recommended for mature players aged 17 and up only. It can also be noted that avid players of the Japanese franchise are highly aware that this is the "darkest" and most mature game to date.

ESRB summary of rating stated that "Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire, screams of pain, and large blood-splatter effects; some sequences depict blood stains on players' screen and corpses lying in pools of blood."

As gamers play as students who try to protect their nation from potential invaders, ESRB noted the use of realistic weapons like swords, bows, firearms and magic spells. Bloody cut scenes are also deemed inappropriate as they depict violence.

"Cut-scenes depict additional acts of violence: a man stabbing himself with a sword; a girl shot by a sniper; a character shot close-up," ESRB's statement said.

Aside from violence, the board also noted the sexy outfits worn by female characters that are seen as a bit sexual in nature. "During the course of the game, some female characters are depicted in outfits that expose large amounts of cleavage and jiggling breasts."

Use of drugs to sedate and performance of unknown acts'that is deemed sexual in nature were the reason why ESRB gave "Final Fantasy Type-0" an "M" rating.

On the other hand, a new commercial for the upcoming HD game is now out to entice more gamers. Released with the demo version of "Final Fantasy XV," the new trailer showed glimpse of a group of fourteen students who will be fighting for their nation's freedom.

While Japanese gamers can get both the demo and the Type-0 game in a bundle, North Americans will have to include a voucher to get the "Final Fantasy XV" demo. "Final Fantasy Type-0," now known as the most mature and darkest among its franchise, will be hitting the stores in North America on March 17 and in Japan on March 19.

Europe will have to wait a little bit longer as the fast-paced RPG game will be release on March 20.
