Apple is rapidly expanding its Chinese operations, as it will open its 14th Apple Store in mainland China in Hangzhou this Saturday, January 24, and will debut three more new stores in less than a month.

The new store in Hangzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province will have a trained staff of almost 200, including shop assistants, technical experts and business consultants. Apple vice president of retail real estate/development Bob Bridger told China state news agency Xinhua that the staff will hail from 22 provinces and cities in China, speaking eight languages and 14 Chinese dialects.

Xinhua reports that the new Apple store was designed by the same architecture firm in charge of the company's new headquarters in Cuppertino, California.

Bridge says that the company is experiencing its fastest growth since it opened its first store in China in 2008. Case in point, the Hangzhou store opening comes less than two weeks after Apple opened its 13th store in central China's Zhengzhou City; and yet another store will open in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality next week.

The tech giant plans to open another two Apple stores in mainland China in less than a month, although the company has yet to announce their locations.

A recent report from investment banking firm UBS revealed that strong demand for Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus smartphones had helped the Chinese market surpass the U.S. in iPhone sales for the first time ever. One Shanghai-based Apple store receives more than 25,000 customers every day, more than any other store in the world, according to state news reports.
