It seemed that the pressure was mounting against the Socceroos. However, Cahill did not let the pressure to get to him.

He took up the challenge and added another amazing goal to his great career. It was one of the best goals seen on the Socceroos home soil.

The first half of the game was frustrating, as China pressured the Socceroos defensively. However, Cahill was seeing the holes in the defense and capitalized.

Facing away from the goal with a Chinese player defending closely against him, he then received a pass from his teammate and delivered a stunning bicycle kick that found the corner of the net.

The goal was inspiring, as the Socceroos began to find more and more holes in the Chinese defense. Later in the game, Cahill would add another goal after a cross from Jason Davidson.

These two goals place Cahill as Australia's all-time leading goal-scoarer at 39 goals in his international career. Twenty of those came from headers.

The win sends the Socceroos forward into the semi-finals. They are set to meet the winner of Japan-UAE match in Newcastle on Tuesday night.

Cahill released a statement after the game saying that it was a big win for the team. He added though that he already knew of this before the game because he believed in his teammates and that his team would get it done.
