Two years ago, on the same Center Court, Spaniard Rafael "Rafa" Nadal, then seeded No. 2, has just won his seventh French Open title and is facing then 100 seed Czech Lukas Rosol in the second round of Wimbledon. Rosol pulled off one of the greatest upsets in Grand Slam history.

Rosol came off from a disappointing first set loss to Rafa, 6(9) 7(11), Rosol dominated the 2nd and 3rd set with his powerful serves and on-the-net attacks that gave him the sets 6-4 6-4 respectively. He then showed signs of confidence in the fourth set which he then lost at 2-6 in favor of Rafa.

The fifth and deciding set was Rosol's masterpiece. Having only two unforced errors and delivering three aces in the most crucial stages of the set gave him the win of his life, defeating two-time Wimbledon Champion Nadal.

Thursday gave Rafa the fright as he dropped the first set to Rosol 4-6. The second set looks grim as Rosol pounds his way to tie the set 6-6. But Rafa composed himself and went on to win the set 7(8)-6(6).

Having won the second set, Nadal got his confidence back and all went his way. Finally defeating the player that plagued him two years ago, 4-6 7(8)-6(6) 6-4 6-4.

"I was just trying to fight," Nadal said after the game. "I was waiting for my moment, trying to find my moment. He was serving very well - that always happens on the grass. That second set was very important for me. To be two sets down against a player like Rosol is very dangerous."

Rafa will now play Mikhail Kukushkin from Kazakhstan Saturday on the third round of play.

Seven-time Wimbledon Champion Swiss Roger Federer won his second round match against Gilles Muller of Luxembourg in three sets 6-3 7-5 6-3.
