Brown, the 21-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's, was found by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend face down in the bathtub in home in Roswell, Georgia, Saturday morning.

According to police reports, Gordon immediately performed CPR on her before a police officer did life-saving saving measures before an ambulance arrived.  Brown was then taken to North Fulton Hospital,

"It's expectedly a very tense time for the family," an insider told People.

"And they are closing in on [protecting] Krissy."

Bobby Brown released a statement through his lawyer, Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC, on Friday. The statement confirmed Bobbi's hospitalization and the family's request for privacy.

"The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, is accurate. No additional information will be forthcoming," the statement said.

"Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."

Bobbi has been struggling three years following the death of Whitney Houston. The bathtub incident was comes just a few days before the three-year anniversary of Houston's death on February 11, 2012, which was caused by a drug use and heart disease.

Brown was said to be "vacillating between extremes for a while now and is fighting grief and demons of her own creation," the source said.

"The loss of her mom and her intense craving for attention of any sort are just the tip of her mountain of issues."

Her cousin, meanwhile, Jeron Brown said that Bobbi is now in a pretty much better condition.

"She's pretty good right now, she's around family," Jerod said.

"We're just praying for a speedy recovery, that's it."
