Oscar-nominated actress Rosie Perez returns to The View, but she got a rather rocky welcome.

Perez was immediately placed on the hot seat after making a rather innocent statement during the show's Hot Topics segment, where Bobbi Kristina's tragic condition had been the focus. The theatre actress, however, picked the wrong choice of words.

The 50-year-old actress brought up the Whitney Houston biopic, critically panned Lifetime TV movie.

"Just thought about the movie that came out, and this is no disrespect to Angela Bassett because I love [her], but this unauthorized bio of her mom must have killed her," she said.

Perez was then quick to realize that she actually made a mistake and immediately backtracked from her statement.

"That was terrible phrasing," she said.

"It must have hurt her deeply to watch that. We forget these people are human beings. We put them into the tabloids, and we forget they're human beings," the actress continued.

Perez made the quip just a few days following the hospitalization of the 21-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston after Nick Gordon found her unconscious in her bathtub Saturday.

The incident was a grim reminder of the same fate that took the life of the pop diva barely three years ago.

Bobbi Kristina Brown still remains in comatose and her family already transferred her from North Fulton Hospital to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

"We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina," Bobbi's father, singer Bobby Brown said in a statement.

Furthermore, Brown also corrected what surfaced on the news that she is the wife of Nick Gordon.

"To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon," the statement goes.

Also, the statement sought for privacy in this matter.

Yaya DaCosta, who played Houston in the biopic, has said a little prayer for Bobbi.

"Dear @REALbkBrown Bobbi Kristina, Praying with my whole heart that you pull through this," she tweeted.
