The grandfather of a 6-year-old Chinese girl from Kunming City, Yunnan Province in China is possibly senile or a devious senior. The child, named Siyao, was left by her grandfather as a deposit in a bath house a month ago.

After cleansing himself and having a massage, the old man, when he was about to pay, claimed he forgot his wallet. He left Siyao as a guarantee that he would return to pay the bill that day and take his granddaughter home.

The man didn't fulfill his promise because Siyao is still in the bath house for a month now. She has been provided bedding, food and whatever she needs, including a TV that is left switched "on" when the facility is closed so she wouldn't feel lonely or scared, reports Daily Mail.

Siyao likewise uses the bath house to cleanse herself and has become friends with the employees, shares Mee Wang, the manager of the facility.

Chinese media has learned of Siyao's plight and has appealed to the old man to fulfill his promise to pay the bill and get back his granddaughter.

Some Chinese have urged social services to get the girl from the bath house, which remains popular in Chinese cities for residents who don't have heaters or running water at home.

Given China's culture that prefers male children, there exists the possibility that the grandfather deliberately left the girl there, although the possibility also exists that he is a forgetful old man whose memory has failed him and his granddaughter.
