Lindsay Lohan is suing the creators of GTA or Grand Theft Auto video games. The latest installment of the video game created a character based on Lohan’s image and likeness without any permission from her.

On Wednesday, Lohan filed a lawsuit in the Manhattan court. However, there’s no official counter statement from Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. and subsidiary Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto makers, regarding the filed case.

A representative from Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. will not discuss the legal matters in public.

According to the 28-year-old actress’ suit, GTA created a character named Lacey Jonas who is a direct reference to the lead actress of Mean Girls and Freaky Friday. Jonas’ character also hitching a ride to escape the paparazzi.

It also states in the suit that GTA portrayed Lohan’s image, voice, styles and clothing. Even Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood, Lohan’s former place, was featured.

Rockstar Games suggests the suit must be dismissed arguing that creative works of fictions and satire, such GTA V, are not part of such claim and it applies to Lohan’s lawsuit against them.

This is not the first time that Rockstar and Take-Two to receive a lawsuit over GTA V. Karen Gravano, daughter of Sammy “The Bull” Gravano, also filed a case earlier this year with a claim that the company unlawfully used her life story and image for creating a character for the game.

Grand Theft Auto V gained US$800 million sales when it was first released back in September and US$1 billion after three days.
