Warner Brothers Pictures reveals the Man of Steel's new look for the upcoming follow up entitled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showing on May 6, 2016.

Posted by Warner Brothers on Twitter, Superman's new look in this sequel is similar to that of the Man of Steel which looks like a form of "Kryptonian ambassador outfit containing the family crest of the House of El-Superman's family name on his home planet," according to Forbes.

This costume differs from those of classic Superman costumes is the notable lack of red trucks and yellow belt.

Another prominent feature in the sneak-peek photo released is the background environment where Superman stands in the middle of the rain in Gotham-like location, complete with the signature gloom over the city.

Film Director Zack Snyder describes the movie to be "thicker, denser and more epic than the Man of Steel," where most of the cast returns with the addition of several stars playing the members of the Justice League.

Portraying Superman is Henry Cavill while Batman will be played by Ben Affleck. Other celebrities to star in this film are Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot playing Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

Contrary to what most fans are expecting, Director Snyder clarifies that the movie is not necessarily about a Batman and Superman face-off, highlighting the use of "v." instead of "vs." in the title.

In an interview with Forbes, Snyder divulged that the film will establish more of Clark Kent's (Superman's alter ego) private life including his work and relationships, before going into Gotham City to face the Dark Knight. Also, Eisenberg's character, Lex Luthor will be portrayed as one of the "larger threats" the Superman has to face.
