Lindsay Lohan Might Be Going Back to Jail For Not Fulfilling Community Service Obligations

Lindsay Lohan might find herself back in a jail cell. The 28-year old troubled starlet has been in London for quite some time now, attempting to make a comeback and starring in Speed the Plow, a play about the American movie business. The only problem is, while she was busy performing in London, she was also supposed to be doing community service work for her reckless driving charge.

According to Radar Online, L.A. District Attorney Terry White is anticipated to ask the Judge, Richard Stone to dismiss Lindsay's probation and suggest that she serve jail time instead, for not turning in any records from her fulfilled community service work in London. Leading officials to speculate that she really has not done any of her obligations.

In fact, the D.A. never wanted the Mean Girls actress to do her hours in London, "but another judge, who was handling the case at the time, approved it." They also called out the London authorities for not cooperating and not handing over Lindsay's records to L.A. officials.

Radar Online reports that L.A. officials only wanted answers to very basic inquiries, (especially that Lindsay needs to appear in court on February 18) such as how the actress was being monitored and who was supervising her, but none of those inquiries have been answered.

If Lindsay cannot prove that she did community service in London and if she doesn't turn her records in to L.A. authorities, she might have to stay 30 days in jail.

According TMZ, Esurance is shelling out US$10,000 to Lindsay's community service organization and that Lindsay's aim is for the D.A. to believe that she has fulfilled her community service obligations by "raising funds" for an agency in London which supports poor children. However, Lindsay's lawyer is outraged with the report and said that TMZ "stooped to a new low."

He explained that Lindsay was serious in raising funds for the organization that she even continued to be a volunteer even after completing her community service. Adding that to turn Lindsay's positive efforts into something negative is offensive.
