Tragedy strikes the Miami Heat again, as superstar forward Chris Bosh is also out for the season as he deals with severe complications brought by blood clots in his lungs. He will be out for the season.

The organization released the statement via their website stating that Bosh will miss the remainder of the 2014-2015 season as he tries to treat the blood clot in his lungs.

Blood clots commonly travel to the lungs from the legs or from other parts of the body.

When blood clots happen in a person's lungs - or any other major blood vessel - it would usually result in pulmonary embolisms.

The common symptoms are being out of breath, having sharp chest pains, and coughing out pink mucus.

If the blood clot is large enough, it could be fatal for the patient if not treated immediately.

Currently, Bosh is receiving treatment with the guidance of the Miami Heat's team physicians at a Baptist Health System Hospital. The Heat reported that Bosh is resting comfortably, with the prognosis looking good.

The good news in the matter is that Bosh is going to be fine despite his blood clots.

However, the bad news is for Heat fans who will see their team's dreams of making a run in the Eastern Conference take a back seat to next year.

The injury of Bosh comes weeks after fellow teammate Dwyane Wade was also reported unhealthy due to a hamstring injury. He will also not be returning for the current season of the National Basketball Association.

Wade was reported injured before the All-Star weekend. He was supposed to play in the All-Star game, but opted out, citing how he owed it to the Heat fans to get better before playing for other fans.
