Modern Family star Sofia Vergara and her brawny fiancé Joe Manganiello have agreed to postpone their scheduled summer wedding.

The couple formerly announced their plan to get married this summer. Unfortunately, they had to change their original plan and put their ideas on hold, because of the Magic Mike sequel, Magic Mike XXL, which Joe Manganiello stars in.

The 42-year old Colombian bombshell told Bang Showbiz that they initially planned to have a summer wedding, however, "Joe will be busy working and promoting Magic Mike 2," and added that they now wish to get married when they have enough time to go on a honeymoon. "The wedding will probably be later this year," she said.

Joe Manganiello reprises his role in the upcoming film Magic Mike XXL, the follow-up movie to the comedy-drama released in 2012, along with Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Adam Rodriguez. In the movie the four men play male strippers.

In regards to their wedding date, Joe told Page Six that he would love to get married sometime during the summer, "but I'm going to be too busy promoting my male stripper movie."

Fans of the couple need not be worried though, as the wedding plans are already in motion. Reese Witherspoon who stars alongside Sofia in the new action-comedy movie, Hot Pursuit revealed that she is helping out her co-star plan the wedding. 

Talking to Mario Lopez on Extra, Reese shared that they have a lot of plans. "I gotta help, I've gotta be there for my girl! So I'm excited," the Oscar-winning actress said.

In Hot Pursuit, Reese plays the role of a clumsy police officer, who has been given the task to protect the widow of a drug dealer, played by Sofia from corrupt cops and criminals. 

Hot Pursuit is scheduled to hit theaters on May 8.
