'Fashion Police' In Power Struggle After Joan Rivers Death, Insiders Reveal

The issue of E! host Giuliana Rancic's comments about Zendaya Coleman is not an isolated case, but rather a symptom of a deep conflict that's been hounding Fashion Police following the death of comedian and the show's host, Joan Rivers, Confidenti@l reports.

Insiders revealed that Rivers' absence has stirred Fashion Police crew and staff, left a power vacuum, thus, triggering a power struggle among the co-hosts.

One insider told Confidenti@l that it was Rivers who kept everyone on the set together.

"When she was there, none of this was happening: They all loved her and looked up to her, but it's all been a power play since she's been gone," the insider revealed.

Now, it seems to the eyes of the insider that "Giuliana thinks she's the star of the show now that it's not Joan."

The source also went on to saying that "Kelly (Osbourne)'s unhappy and there's all this money up for grabs," referring to Rivers' hefty paycheck.

Another source said that Osbourne and Kathy Griffin, who was one of the two replacements of Rivers, got into a shouting brawl over Griffin's legacy during E!'s red-carpet review.

"There were words, because Kelly talks about Joan constantly - which is OK; we all love Joan, and Melissa (Rivers, Joan's daughter and executive producer of the show) talks about her openly - but (Osbourne would) imply Kathy wasn't Joan," the insider said.

However, Kathy was there to work and "she doesn't want to fight with Kelly."

Now, producers weren't really surprised when Kelly Osbourne threatened to quit the show over Rancic's remark on Zendaya's hair.

"She wants more money, but it's not really about the money for her," the source added.

Meanwhile, source quipped that Giuliana has been quite aggressive on the show after Joan's death.

"She felt like she should have more say-so in producing (the show) than she's given," the source said.
