U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder Slams Sarah Palin’s Call For His And Pres. Obama’s Impeachments

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder slams ex-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and said that former vice-presidential was not a good candidate nor a good judge of who should be impeached, according to ABC News on Sunday.

In an interview with This Week's Pierre Thomas, Holder dismissed Palin's demand for Obama's impeachment saying that Palin wasn't a good vice presidential candidate when she ran for the second-highest office in 2008. Holder added that the ex-Alaskan governor was the worse judge when it came to who should be impeached and why.

Tuesday last week, the Palin called for Obama's impeachment on the same ABC news program. She criticized the border crisis and said it has become "the last straw." The former governor published a column on Breitbart.com and compared Obama to an abusive spouse, enumerating the reasons why he should be impeached.

Together with some other Republicans, Palin said that the President's "rewarding of lawlessness" has become the main problem and are planning to take legal actions against him to preserve the rights of the Congress because Obama is "trying to make his own laws."

Holder sees the impeachment calls as an attempt by Republicans to hinder the administration of its efforts to push its policies forward.

"For whatever reason, (some) Republicans decided early on that this was a president they were just simply not going to cooperate with," Holder said.

He also cited the lawsuit against the president as "more a political gesture than a truly legal one," adding that it will not, in any way, improve the quality of life of the American people.

During the interview, he said that calls for his and the president's impeachment are subject to vehemence that is in part racial.

However, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and some other Republican leaders indicated that they do not support the call for the President's impeachment.
