Kate Middleton, more officially known as the Duchess of Cambridge, will be visiting the set of Downtown Abbey, a popular British television show to celebrate the success of 'an award winning production' on March 12, according to a press release in Buckingham Palace via CNN Money.

The set, which was visited by George Clooney last year, is slowly becoming a hub for celebrity appearances, according to Vanity Fair.

The Duchess, an avid fan of the show, will not be visiting the Highclere Castle, which is one of the well known structures on the set but she will visit the Ealing Studios West London set where the servants' scenes usually take place.

The eight months pregnant Duchess will be greeted by creator Julian Fellowes and will be shown around the studio.

She will also get to see workshops and meet everyone from costume makers to makeup artists.

A reception will be held, which she will have the opportunity to chat with cast members, writers and producers.

The Duchess will get a glimpse of life "below stairs" when she will watch the production team film a scene in the servant's quarters of the fictional Aristocratic Crawley family home.

The Duchess will also head to the 'video village' in order to watch as the producers monitor a second take of the scene in post-production, according to People Magazine.

After the filming, the Duchess will do her Royal duties of having an official photograph taken in the Servant's Hall with cast members, writers and producers.

After suffering from severe pregnancy sickness during the first trimester of her pregnancy, Duchess Kate will resume her royal duties again.

The Duchess' visit to the Downtown Abbey set is only the beginning of her series of Royal appearances during the week.

She will also make an art gallery visit in Margate, Kent with her husband, Prince William and Queen Elizabeth at services to commemorate the Commonwealth and makr sacrifices made during the Afghanistan campaign.
