An Ohio man who sympathizes with the Islamic state said in a TV interview via phone patch that if he had not been arrested by FBI agents in January, he would have placed a gun on the head of U.S. President Barack Obama and pulled the trigger.

Besides planning to the kill the president, 20-year-old Christopher Cornell told Fox in Cincinnati that he also planned to place pipe bombs in Washington DC and the Israeli embassy.

Cornell, who is jailed in Boone County, Kentucky, said that after killing Obama, he would also kill more in the Senate and Congress, attack the Israel Embassy and other buildings full of infidels who are waging wars against Muslims and shedding blood of Islam followers.

Unfortunately for Cornell, he told an FBI informant of his plans after he researched on the manufacture of pipe bombs, bought a rifle and ammunition and made travel plans to the capitol. With charges of attempted murder of government officials, possession of a firearm to commit a crime and solicitation to commit a violent crime, Cornell is held without bail.

Cornell said he made all those plans because he was following orders from officials of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. The specific order was for him to carry out a jihad in the West. He is very vocal about his support for the Islamic State through posts on Twitter.

He said, "They might say I'm a terrorist, but you know we see American troops as terrorists as well, coming to our land, stealing our resources and killing our people, raping our women," quotes Thenewstribune.com.
