The posts of a 28-year-old female passenger of Cathay Pacific became viral on China's most popular social media site Weibo.

It showed a rare passenger's view of takeoff and landing from the pilot's cockpit, which sparked debate about air safety and why ordinary passenger could sit in the cockpit.

Ada Ng, the woman who posted the viral videos and photos, has since deleted the image from her Weibo account, but it was too late because it has become the talk of the town as other Weibo members had downloaded the images and shared it in various social media sites, reports Shanghaiist.com.

Some Weibo users noted that after 9/11, it is next to impossible for passengers to access the cockpit because of security concern.

In her posts, Ada even remarked that it was cool to experience the plane departing and arriving while inside the cockpit. Daily Mail reports that the captain invited Ada to the cockpit.

One possible explanation for her privilege is that she had a jump ticket in the business class, according to the photo of her ticket.

Normally, jump seats are the ones taken by flight attendants or pilot trainees during takeoffs and landings as well as off-duty crew traveling between airports.

It is also a privilege offered to family members, which makes Ada's posts unclear if she was a relative or a member of Cathay's crew.

At least Ada only sat in the cockpit, took photos and videos and shared it in social media.

In 2011, a Cathay Pacific pilot and a stewardess gave the word cockpit a different meaning because they had oral sex inside the pilot's room. A photo of their lewd act was posted on social media.

The two were fired by the Hong Kong-based air carrier.
