Investigators said that there were no signs of trauma but the Medical Examiner's Office would determine the cause of the death of the campus athlete.

According to Daily News, Cammock and several of her friends shared the room at the hotel after a night of celebration, likely the end of the school calendar, which officially ends on Sunday.

The New York Daily News quotes a source that when the group woke up, Cammock didn't wake up. Officials said there were no drugs in the room to suggest overdose.

Dean of Student Affairs Rebecca Reed Kantrowitz disclosed that the public health major was a sprinter on the university's track team.

In a letter to students, professors and university employees, Kantrowitz wrote, "It is a painful time for our entire campus community whenever we are faced with a tragedy such as this. We mourn as a campus community with all those whose lives Sabrina touched," quotes NBC.

The New York Daily News reports that Cammock's family was stunned by her death.

Her 34-year-old cousin Kernal Brown said, "She's better than anybody else you know ... She's a baby and she's gone," quotes the New York Daily News.

She was best at the 60-meter to 400-meter sprints. Cammock was second placer in the 60-meter dash at the 2015 Upstate Challenge. She clocked 7.62.

At the Cornell Marc Denault Invitations, her time of 7.69 also gave her a second place finish. Her best time is 7.55 when she was a junior.

But the senior at Syracuse's David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics just lost suddenly in the game of life.
