‘Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain’ and ‘Metal Gear Online’ to be Launched Sept, 1

Konami will release its upcoming "Metal Gear Solid 5" for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS 3 and PS 4 platform on Sept. 1, while PC owners will have to wait until Sept. 15 for the game's release via Steam.

Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer, will also be available on the same date of the MGS launch.

Konami has prepared a collector's edition for the Metal Gear Solid 5 where buyers will receive both physical items and digital contents.

The items include a half size replica of Snake's bionic arm, a SteelBook, a Blu-Ray disc containing trailers and a behind the scenes documentary, a map and some exclusive package.

The digital content of the collector's edition is quite impressive. Players can arm themselves with various special weapons and shield packs that include an Adam-ska, a Maschinen Aktische Pistole 5 Weiss, a Rasp Short-Barreled Shotgun and a Windurger S333 Comba.

Players will also get a Personal Ballistic Shield that comes in gold, olive drab, silver or white.

A cardboard box is also included in the package and comes in all-purpose dryland, rocky terrain and wetland themes.

Snake can have a choice of various , which includes all-purpose dryland, blue urban, gray urban and black ocelot fatigues.

Other MGO items include a golden AM MRS-4, golden WUS pistol and a Metal Gear Rex helmet.

In addition, players will receive a Metal Gear Online XP boost and the Venom Snake emblem.

Those who don't have the collector's edition but instead got the "Day One Edition" can still expect a few goodies. 

Day One buyers will receive a physical map and DLC goods such as map, Adam-Ska weapon, a silver personal ballistic shield, a wetland theme cardboard box, Snake in blue urban fatigues and a Metal Gear Online XP boast.

The PC steam version will also have the same "Day One Edition" DLC items.
