Lauren Conrad Won't Let Her Kids Appear on Reality Television

Lauren Conrad may be a very successful fashion designer and lifestyle blogger who already has her own empire, but before all that, Lauren was simply a reality star on MTV's "Laguna Beach."

So with all the success she gained from being a reality star, would she allow her future kids to follow in her footsteps?

In an interview with Redbook, the 29-year old said that she "wouldn't encourage my child to do reality television."

Coincidentally enough, that is an opinion she shares with her Laguna Beach frenemy, Krisin Cavallari, who said that people who wish to appear on reality television should at least be 18 years old.

Her claim to fame aside, Lauren shared that building her own brand has helped her tremendously learn a lot especially about being a woman in a challenging business.

For the past few years, she revealed that she was able to work with women whom she admired and respected basically because they didn't have to be bitches. She added that so many women feel the need to act tough to be heard and for people to take them seriously but clarified that, that does not apply to her because she doesn't believe in the notion that "kindness is weakness."

Regarding her married life, she happily shared that her husband, musician and lawyer William Tell was the first person she ever thought of marrying. She then continued to divulge his one quirk, "I watch The Good Wife with him and he's like, 'That's incorrect. You would actually do this,' " and described his habit as "a nightmare!"
