According to Apple Insider, Shield has 16 gigabytes internal storage, Gigabit Ethernet, USB ports, HDMI 2.0, Wi-Fi ready, and Bluetooth 4.1 with a MicroSD slot. Shield comes with a controller though it will have a separate price.

NVIDIA's Shield will bring a new experience of enjoying games at the comfort of your home such as watching your favorite movies on your smart TV similar to what Netflix offers. Aside from the streaming movies and downloadable games offered, Google Play will also be accessible.

Shield will be centralizing with gaming and as NVIDIA said, 50 titled-games will be ported from Android. Some of these games are "Borderlands: The Presequel," "Doom 3: BFG Edition," "The Talos Principle," and "Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance," just to name a few.

Android is popularly known as the world's largest OS platform and NVIDIA is focusing on developing their devices through Android.

This Android TV set-top box will compete with Apple TV and Amazon's Fire TV.

Setting aside the price, which is more expensive than the two mentioned, the gaming capability of NVIDIA's Shield will be more exceptional. The question is, will NVIDIA receive positive and strong reviews from gamers using consoles like PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One?

NVIDIA co-founder and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang describes Shield as the "revolutionary TV, game console and a super computer" in one and will be the world's first 4k Android TV in history.
