Fashion Police Might Get Cancelled Following Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin's Departure

In an attempt to save their relationships with celebrities, executives at E! are reportedly considering cancelling the controversial "Fashion Police."

The network has just released an official statement announcing the show's return on March 30, however, there are rumors that the show is struggling after the recent and unexpected departure of Kathy Griffin who took Joan Rivers' place.

Griffin had disregarded the execs' instructions to not discuss any drama that goes on behind the scenes of the show, following the harsh backlash fellow host Giulana Rancic received after she commented about Zendaya's hair smelling like weed.

The 54-year old actress told Chicago Sun Times, "Don't have anyone write your jokes or even suggest jokes for you on Fashion Police." Referring to Rancic, she said that she learns enough gossip from being on the red carpet and advised her to "just talk and be yourself."

The comedian also expressed her support for Kelly Osbourne after she decided to quit after the Zendaya issue. Griffin revealed that she leaned on the 30-year old daughter of Ozzy Osbourne for support when Rivers was hospitalized.

When Griffin made the announcement of her departure on Twitter, Osbourne replied and wrote that she couldn't be more proud of Griffin and told Griffin that she always has her love and support.

And now, with just Rancic and Brad Goreski left as hosts of the show, E! execs are left struggling to find replacements who can carry the show the way that the late Joan Rivers did.

An insider told New York Daily news that while the show is off this month, viewers should not be surprised if it suddenly gets cancelled. Adding that Melissa Rivers, who is currently producing the show, cannot get control of the present situation.

Another source revealed that execs called the show a "hassle," and are upset that numerous celebrities have been dissing the broadcast, which when it was under Joan, was considered as "edgy."

Jane Lynch, Rosie O' Donnell, as well as Lena Dunham have supported Griffin's departure and the source said that the network knows that the show won't be able to survive without the cooperation of the celebrities.

As for Rancic, the source said that she's over the drama and would be more than glad to leave to focus on her other responsibilities at E!

A representative for the network has yet to comment on the issue.
