Elaine Ng, Jackie Chan's Ex-Lover, Arrested For Allegedly Hitting Daughter

Elaine Ng Yi-Lei, former beauty queen and ex-lover of Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan, was arrested for allegedly hitting her daughter, on 'suspicion of cruelty' last Wednesday,  according to Stomp Strait Times.

Ng Cheuk-Lam, Ng's daughter, told staff in her school that she was assaulted by her mother.

The school, located in the New Territories, immediately reported it to the authorities, according to the source via South China Morning Post.

Cheuk-Lam is allegedly Chan's child.

The 42 year old actress was arrested on Wednesday and was eventually released on the same day after undergoing a police interrogation.  There were no pressed charges.

After Ng's arrest, the police conducted a search in her home in Tai Po and they discovered a small packet of suspected narcotics.

Both investigations of the alleged assault and the narcotics discovered are still under process. The former TVB actress is requested to report back to the authorities in May.

"Children are sometimes naughty. And they do something wrong when they are naughty. I think adults can deal with these things," says Ng, who spoke behind drawn window blinds, in an interview with the local media last Friday. She denies any allegations.

Ng was first known in the Hong Kong entertainment industry as the winner of the 1990 Miss Asia Pageant.  This became a stepping stone for her to become a mainstay in TVB dramas.

Retired from acting, she is now a radio host in a program named Love without Limits, an online radio show inviting celebrities to share a part of their personal life on air.

Ng is well remembered for being Jackie Chan's lover in the late 90s.

In 1999, she came out in public, revealing that she was pregnant with the 'Dragon Blade' star's child.

At that time, Chan commented only on the fact that 'he only committed a fault that every single man in the world commits.'
