"Titanfall 2" is definitely coming out and on multiple platforms. This much has been confirmed by Vince Zampella, founder and CEO of Respawn Entertainment.

Zampella confirmed the rumors in an IGN interview. He said they're working on the second installment although it hasn't yet been officially named.

In contrast to the first Titanfall, which is an Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC exclusive, Zampella said Titanfall 2 will be multiplatform.

This means PlayStation console owners will now have a chance to play Titanfall. Currently, PlayStation console users heavily outnumber Xbox One owners.

The COO of Respawn Dusty Welch said the Xbox One exclusivity deal was a "business decision" they had to make back then. He did admit however, that a Titanfall game available to all platforms would have made a bigger impact for their company.

Titanfall has been nominated in at least three BAFTA game categories. The awarding ceremonies will be held on the night of March 13.

No release date has been officially set for Titanfall 2. Some news outlets, however, announced the possible Titanfall 2 launch date is in 2017. With regards to the development of Titanfall 2, Zampella said they're, "taking it slow."

The first Titanfall game is a multiplayer game and didn't have single player mode. Zampella was asked if they're going to add a single player in the new game title and he said they will add more elements t the game but wouldn't say if there's going to be a single player mode.

Zampella, however, is more receptive to giving DLC maps for free. He thinks Evolve's effort to give free maps to the Titanfall gaming community is a "fantastic way to do it."

He said giving away the DLC packs for free is still an idea.
