Elton John Boycotts Dolce And Gabbana After Making 'Synthetic IVF Children' Statement

Sir Elton John, who married longtime partner David Furnish last year, boycotted famous designer line Dolce and Gabbana after the designers defined his IVF produced children as 'synthetic', according to Sky News.

The famous songwriter, who has two children with Furnish, lambasted Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, both gay and were formerly a couple.

Dolce and Gabbana previously stated in an interview with the Italian Magazine Panorama that they strongly oppose gay marriage and gay families, emphasizing the act of surrogacy as a means of reproducing and raising children as artificial, according to Breit Bart News.

"The only family is a traditional one. No chemical offspring and rented uterus. Life has a natural flow and there are things that cannot be changed. Procreation is an act of love," said the two designers.

"I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteri for rent, semen chosen from a catalogue," stated Mr. Dolce.

"The family is not a fad. In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging," stated Mr. Gabbana, adding affirmation to Mr. Dolce's statement.

This statement instigated Elton John, who has two children with Furnish through IVF, to post in his Instagram account.

"How dare you refer to my children as synthetic and shame on you for wagging your judgmental little fingers at IVF- a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfill their dream of having children" Elton John revealed in his Instagram account.

"Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions," Elton John further added.

The singer ended his statement by saying that he will never wear Dolce and Gabbana again.

Ironically, Mr. Gabbana expressed his desire to have children through an interview last 2005.

He asked a woman to be the mother of his child but made it clear that he struggled with the idea of being involved in a gay family.

"I am opposed to the idea of a child growing up with two gay parents," said Mr. Gabbana.

"A child needs a mother and a father. I could not imagine a childhood without my mother. I also believe it's cruel to take a baby away from its mother," Mr Gabbana added.
