HTC announced its latest smartphone, the HTC One M9, and LG has revealed its upcoming device, the LG G4, at the recent Mobile World Congress 2015 held in Barcelona, Spain.

HTC made it to the top of the list with its One M8 smartphone last year and due to its market success, rumors about the One M9 circulated since its release. As reported by DigitalTrends, the One M9 is almost the same as its predecessor, the One M8.

Both devices have the same brushed-metal rear design, industry-leading front stereo speakers, beautiful 1080p screen and an infrared sensor.

One M9 has a 5-inch LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has a Qualcomm 64 bit quad core Snapdragon 810 processor; 3 GB of RAM, and a 32 GB internal memory storage. The device still has slot for MicroSD which is expandable up to 128 GB.

Its camera has 4 MP (front camera) and 20.7 MP (rear camera) with 5376 x 3752 pixels, autofocus and dual LED. One M9, which is set to be released on March 31, will be available in Gunmetal Gray, Amber Gold, Silver/Rose Gold, and Gold/Pink.

On the other hand, LG unveiled the next smartphone believed to be comparable against Samsung, HTC and iPhone.

"We aim to have our smartphone sales grow 20 percent on-year in 2015," said LG CEO Cho Jun-ho, Techtimes reported.

"If the popularity of the G2 and the G3 continues through the G4, we expect to grab a meaningful third-place presence." he added.

LG G4 is expected to have more improved features compared to its predecessor, the G3.

The G4 might have a 5.3 inch screen display and could run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Its camera might offer between 16 MP to 20 MP front camera.

LG G4 will feature a fingerprint reader for mobile payments and is expected to be out in June 2015.
