This was his mother's first interview and she admitted that she is struggling until now with regards to their family's loss. She says that she can't even look at a picture of her son.

She told a story about Cory's first overdose. She said that he had a lot of emotional things he tried to figure out during those times. He really wanted to establish a relationship with his father but it was not possible. This caused him to keep reaching out in order to find out and understand the reason for the rejection.

Ann, Cory's mother, realized before that she had to focus more on Cory's problems and that she would not have him her entire life. She wanted to really get to know him.

When asked about Lea Michele, Cory's Glee co-star and his girlfriend before his terrible death, Ann said that she sees Michele's sadness and that she knows the pain Michele is feeling. She also said that they still text and exchange e-mails regularly.

Ann also talked about her son being a quick developer. She boasted that Cory could already read when he was three. But she thinks that being advanced and smarter than those in his class bored Cory. She remembers that her son had a mischievous side and was always looking for stimulation.

She mentioned that before her son's death, Cory was ready to sign a lease in Vancouver.  She believes that her son was ready to slowly let go of his Hollywood life.

Her advice to parents of other stars who might be struggling from the same situation is that they should live for the moment and grab the second.
