It seems the hostile rivalry between National Football League (NFL) teams New York Jets and New England Patriots won't be dying down any time soon. The Jets have recently filed a tampering charge against the Patriots.

An Anti-tampering policy has been put in place in the NFL.

The policy means that no member of one club can interfere with the employer-employee relationship of another club. This includes attempts to indirectly luring a person to seek employment with the club you are in.

According to the Jets, Patriots owner Robert Kraft was guilty of this when he commented on cornerback Darrele Revis who returned to the Jets two years after the initial divorce.

Speaking with reporters at the league meetings in Phoenix, Kraft said, "I speak as a fan of the New England Patriots, we wanted to keep him."

The statement seemed to catch the attention of the Jets.

However, there seems to be more to the filed tampering charge. Behind the normal "letter of the law" approach to the situation, the Jets file the tampering charge after the Patriots slapped one on them last January.

Jets owner Woody Johnson told reporters that he would love to have Darrele Revis come back.

While his statement did go against the policy, the Jets felt it was a baseless charge as there was no malicious intent behind it.

Johnson even called Kraft after to try and iron it out, but did not budge on it.

Currently though, the Jets lead this feud with the Patriots as cornerback Revis has returned to New York and the tampering charge as well.

Revis recently signed a five-year deal worth $70 million.

Revis' agents said that they had pulled a fast one on the Patriots, as they stole away the All-Pro corner away from the Super Bowl champions.

The signing came moments after the Patriots had declined to exercise a $20 million option for 2015.
