Everybody loves a good surprise especially when it comes from one of our favorite pop stars!

In what seems to be another case of the "Beyoncé effect," the edgy Rihanna took to her Twitter account and Instagram page to seemingly announce her new album, teasing and surprising fans by releasing snippets of her new track.

"badgalriri" shared a photo of her in black and white wearing nothing but a leather jacket that barely covered her chest while sporting some very bold brows. She captioned the photo, "rihannaNOW.com #R8 #BBHMM #March26."

Obviously, her post was followed by a flood of questions from fans, including what she meant with her hashtags, will the album drop on March 26, and well, why her eyebrows are like that.

Rihanna has always told fans that she's working on a new album, so that comes as no surprise, however, what they were unaware of was when it would be released. The 27-year old singer has been using her various social media pages to promote and offer a glimpse of her new work but has continued to leave a lot of details up in the air.

In November of last year, E! News was able to catch Rihanna and ask her what every Rihanna fan wants to know-When are we going to hear new music? To which she laughingly replied, "Tell them they'll have to wait!" and revealed that she was working at the studio with a great team then. 

While the Barbados beauty kept mum about what she's currently working on, record producer, singer and songwriter,  Ne-Yo, who often works with the singer, opened up about her latest album and expressed his excitement over it.

He described the new album as "incredible" and said that he feels like people are going to enjoy it. Confidently, he said that "Anybody that's a Rihanna fan is gonna stay a Rihanna fan." What about those who aren't? Well, Ne-Yo seems pretty positive that they'll become one after hearing her new album!
