Freddie Roach revealed that he is going to be a very rich man after the May 2 super-battle between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., adding that he has agreed to a pay he had never seen in his life.

In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Roach said he and Pacquiao only needed 20 seconds to agree on the amount of pay he is going to collect from training the Filipino boxing champion for much-awaited showdown with Mayweather at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Roach, who is considered the man behind Pacquiao's ascendance to the top of the boxing world, said Pacquiao never wanted to get the discussion over his pay through his agent, but rather settled the issue with him face-to-face.

"We were in the locker room and the subject [of my pay for the fight] came up," Roach said via Yahoo Sports. "He wanted to know what I wanted. I said, 'What do you want to give me?"

However, Pacquiao just kept asking about what Roach wants, so the latter told him to settle the matter with his agent. But the boxing champ insisted that he wanted to discuss it with him, so they haggled for just 20 seconds and shook hands on the deal.

Roach remarked that the amount they discussed was more money than he has ever seen in his entire life. He added that the deal was "more than fair."

Pacquiao (57-5-2 with 38 KOs) is defending his WBO welterweight championship and at the same time gunning for the WBA/WBC/ Ring Magazine crowns Mayweather (47-0, 26 Kos) holds in a fight that will determine the best boxer in the era.

Dubbed as the Battle for Greatness, the showdown is expected to shatter the existing records for pay-per-view buys & revenues, merchandize sales, gate receipts and the guaranteed fight purse both fighters will be collecting after the fight.

The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is estimated to gross in excess of US$400 million, which would smoke the earning of Floyd Mayweather vs. Oscar De La Hoya slugfest in 2007.
