Lin Feng Jiao Offered Support Instead After Jackie Chan's Affair With Elaine Ng Broke Out 15 Years Ago

Former Taiwanese actress Lin Feng Jiao, Jackie Chan's wife, left showbiz to look after her family.

When Chan's affair with Elaine Ng broke out 15 years ago, Lin didn't cause a scene or immediately do a press interview, she offered him support instead, according to Asia One News.

"You don't need to explain. Don't go and harm others and don't let others harm us. At any time, as long as you need me and our son, we can immediately stand up for you. I know you're stressed. I'm all right. Never mind about me, go and handle your things," said Lin over the phone, after Chan phoned her because he wanted to explain what happened.

Chan immediately wept after hearing his wife's sympathetic words, according to Ming Pao Daily News.

This incident is just one of the excerpts of Chan's upcoming book, which is currently in publication this month in China. The autobiographical book is titled, Jackie Chan: Never Grow Up, Only Get Older.

In the book, the 'Dragon Blade' star also recalls how he apologized to Lin after a family meeting two days later. Lin didn't say anything, though Chan changed his will and promised to give all his assets to her.

The 'Rush Hour' star also reminisced his discreet wedding to Lin in Los Angeles, which was neither grand nor lavish.

The wedding event occurred in a coffee shop cubicle and Lin was pregnant with their son Jaycee at that time. Chan sent her to the United States to keep her pregnancy a secret.

"It was still noisy and people could be heard talking next door. The pastor asked, 'Are you willing? We nodded our heads. It was over and done with, just like this," said Chan.

"We now treasure each other more and more. We are forever family," said Chan, who initially thought that Lin married him only for his money.
